Complete Walkthrough of Level 7 (Smart Omegas)

==You can start from this level without missing stuff from previous level(s).==

This is the largest level I have made so far. Start by shooting at the ceiling and the floor, taking 2 Super Laser boosts. Go on to get a Quad Laser boost, 2 Shields and 1 Energy at the red door. You should have seen 4 doors:

1) The red door below, leading to the boss.
2) A door to the left, unlocked.
3) The middle door, locked, leading to the blue key.
4) The blue door on the right, leading to the red key.

So of course, head for door 2 first. Destroy the Fervid 99 and proceed. The door will open once you advance, and you will be fighting a small colony of robots inside the room. If you retreat, a wall will open at the previous corridor and a Compact Lifter will come chasing after you... Okay, so the room's too hard and you go back to fight that Compact Lifter. Having it destroyed you will see a wall has been opened in the ceiling (where it came from), so go in to take the Ammo Rack.

Going back to door 2, destroy the robots inside. Robots will be generated once you get inside: Sidearm Modulas, IT Droids and Red Hornets. Small, but mighty dangerous. Especially once the Sidearm is destroyed, and it leaves *10* Sidearm Modulas. If you get to fight them together with the robot maker life is going to be tough.

A Diamond Claw may come charging at you from the tunnel below. Having all robots destroyed, head for that tunnel, kill the Class 1 Driller and shoot the switch. The door that is opened is at the ceiling near door 2. Go back, and the small room that is opened contains a LOU Guard and a switch. Kill it, get some Homing Missiles and hit the switch, unlocking door 3.

Straightfoward stuff - just kill the robots inside door 3 and grab the weaponry. Once you have killed the mini boss and proceed a wall will open on the ceiling behind you, containing a Smelter II to challenge you. Blow it up, and look at the arrows on the wall. You should know the way to go. Shoot at the hidden door on the left, and blow up the robots inside. Once you get in the robot maker will generate ITSC Robots. A Bulk Destroyed may also shoot from behind the grate. Once you get all of them destroyed, look deep into the grate and you should see a switch (and perhaps a Logikill too). Shoot the switch, and the grate will open. Go in to grab some stuff and the blue key, and kill the Logikill also.

Now you will see a grate below, with a M.A.X. shooting homing flash missiles at you (which will drop 20 Sidearm Modulas if destroyed). You should destroy it with the Phoenix and all Sidearm Modulas, and grab the Afterburner and Smart Mines. So where does that tunnel down there lead to? You shall find out later, and now please proceed by getting to the blue door. (On the way out the robot maker may be triggered again.)

Now is the hardest part I think of all - the blue door. It is difficult because of its immense load of robots which cannot be killed all at once unless they are under constant fire with the Helix, but even with that you can hardly avoid getting hit with missiles. First you may encounter 3 Class 2 Supervisor Robots. 1 contain 2 Extra Lives, another contain 3 Boarsheads, and the third drops *12* Spider Spawns. Also, the room contains a Spider (which drops 3 Spiders) and another 2 Boarsheads.

If you manage to go in, take the Omega Cannon above and the Mega Missile below, and go in to kick the 2 Mini Bosses (which each drops 3 Spiders). You may meet a Cloaked Lifter dropping Proximity Bombs, and an "Energy Center" textured Omega Guppy dropping Smart Mines. If you had everything destroyed, treat yourself a can of cola.

Just before you pick up the red key, you should be informed that once you enter the room with the key a wall will be opened in the room of door 2 and a Thief will come after you. You should not get the red key yet for that will allow the Thief to enter the red room, increasing your trouble. Therefore, kill him first (with the Omega Cannon) and grab the energy and shields. By the way, you may meet a Canary once you get out of the blue door. Speaking of the Canary, the room where it came from (near the start location) has a hidden door which contains an Earthshaker, so take that.

Having all things destroyed, go back to door 2 (before picking up the red key), to the Energy Center. Go in, and you will see the wall which released the Thief and hides a switch. Shoot the one on the wall. 2 doors has been opened in the blue door, which holds 2 Mega Missiles (they stay open). Go back to the blue door to get them (they are found on the floor on the left and right rooms).

Take this *risk* if you want. Back to the red key, you may see some writing on the wall where you picked up the Omega Cannon saying "The end is near" and an error message screen, while the Mega Missile has a blastable window. Blow the screen, and the hidden door above the Omega Cannon will be opened. Inside contains 4 Class 2 Supervisor Robots. 2 of them contains 6 Boarsheads each, 1 contains 12 Energy boosts and the last contains 12 Shield boosts. If you want to destroy them, I suggest you use your Mega Missiles here (for they have no purposes in Level 7 and 8).

Now get the red key and go to the red door. The reason you should not pick it up before you are ready for the red door is to avoid robots which drop Smart Mines from opening the door. Clear the M.A.X. at the entrance and proceed down into the tunnel. You should see a grate and a switch above it. A Class 2 Platform Robot lies behind the grate (and it will drop 20 Spider Spawns when killed). Hit the switch to open that grate and then kill the robot as well. See the tunnel inside? This leads exactly to the place where you got the blue key. Now move in to take some shields and energy, and to rescue the hostages as well. (Beware of bumping into Mines planted in this area.)

Having proceeded to a certain extent it comes to a crossroad at the top and the bottom. The bottom contains an Extra Life and an Earthshaker. The top contains an Extra Live also, but in addition a Boarshead lies behind it. Beware - this robot drops 10 Class 2 Platform Robots when killed! Take great care so that you will not lose the hostages you have just rescued by having them destroy your ship.

After managing to pass through this challenge, move out to fight the boss inside the room. Killing the 2 Omega Guppies receives a cloak each. 2 waterfalls will generate Omegas and E-Bandits in the boss room. The 2 M.A.X. inside will leave 3 Class 3 Gopher Robots, and the 3 Class 2 Heavy Drillers will leave a Shield boost each. At the end of the boss room there is an invulnerability behind the boss.

Simply load the boss with plenty of Smart Missiles and Helix Cannon (or Phoenix, but it wastes a lot of Energy), and don't be afraid to use your Earthshakers on it for you can get a sufficient supply on the next level if you know the method. The boss will drop 5 Smart Missiles.

Do not leave as soon as you have destroyed the boss. Look carefully at the waterfalls where you found the invulnerability. You should see a small grate, and if you look deep into it you should find a tiny switch. Shoot it, and the locked door at your start location is unlocked, opening the way to the Exit.

Go to the unlocked door and you will need to kill a Medium Hulk beyond the Exit. Before you exit the mine the left and the right holds a Class 2 Drone each, behind a grate. However, if you look closely enough you should see a prison door behind each. The doors hold an Earthshaker for the left and 3 hostages for the right. How do you get them?

First, of course, kill the 2 Class 2 Drones. Then shoot the switch found on the ceiling on the left. This will unlock the door on the floor below the switch. Shoot open that hidden door that was unlocked. Nothing!? Whip out your Phoenix Cannon and shoot at the wall there, and with some luck you should be able to hit a switch which will open the walls on the left and the right.

Head for the Exit once the Earthshaker is taken and the hostages are rescued.

We'll be meeting on the final level - Mega E.A.R.T.H.S.H.A.K.E.R - good luck!
